Reports indicate that Jamie Foxx was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday due to a medical emergency that followed an unspecified incident. The family of the Django Unchained actor has confirmed that he is now on the road to recovery, having received excellent medical attention.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, expressed gratitude to fans for their support and kind wishes. She explained that her father experienced a medical complication on the day before.
Fortunately, swift action and exceptional medical care contributed to Jamie Foxx’s prompt recuperation. “We recognize his widespread popularity and appreciate your prayers. The family requests privacy at this time. Warm regards, The Foxx Family,” Corinne Foxx stated.
While Jamie Foxx has yet to address the situation himself and his family has not disclosed the reason behind his hospitalization, TMZ has reported that it was due to a medical emergency. According to the US-based news outlet, Jamie’s condition was severe enough that his family members, some of whom were out of town, came to the hospital. “He’s currently communicating, and that’s encouraging news,” a source stated.
Jamie Foxx was recently photographed by paparazzi two days ago while filming his latest movie, Back in Action, in Atlanta.
The 55-year-old actor won an Academy Award in 2004 for his exceptional portrayal of the legendary singer Ray Charles in the movie Ray. Throughout his career, the Texas-born star has appeared in a slew of films, including Jarhead, Django Unchained, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
In his upcoming movie, he will be reunited with Cameron Diaz, who has not appeared in a film since Annie in 2014. Foxx is said to have been instrumental in persuading Diaz to return to the screen, as they previously worked together in the same movie.
